  • The original #67 was built in 1973-1974 by Bob Krollage of Long Island, NY. The 2nd night out at Islip Speedway the throttle stuck and the only thing that survived the crash was Bob, the body, and the roll cage. The car pictured was the rebuilt 67 finished in 1975. This modified was the last coupe to run a mod feature on Long Island. Bob and the coupe ran Wall Stadium, Islip, Freeport, and various other tracks in the Northeast. The car has changed hands a few times after 1979, when Bob sold it. Luckily, it remains pretty much in its original configuration. The 67 has run at the Modified Reunion at New Symnra with Bob back behind the wheel. I purchased the car off of ebay in 2005 and have run with DAARA, EMMR,GSVC, and some outlaw events. Powered by a 1968 327 ci small block with a vintage Hailbrand quick change. I have refused to change anything, wanting to keep the 67 as original as possible, from it's heyday in modified racing. Boyhood dreams do come true!!!!!!! Richard Bowser
